Lapis Lazuli is an alternative September birthstone for Virgos ( August 23rd - September 22nd) & Libras (23rd September - 23rd October). It is also the 9th wedding anniversary gemstone.
This gem has many special metaphysical qualities as well as an interesting history and uses throughout time.
It is often discovered in shades of deep blue or purple. The bluer the gemstone, the more valuable it is. Contained within Lapis Lazuli are gold flecks which give it a stunning mystical appearance and a special grace.
